Big news. Big gratitude. And one more step toward bigger stages —Olivia O has been awarded the Adams Prize from the Toronto Fringe.

Anyone else hear the buzz building?? :)
We’re thrilled to share that Olivia O, the original musical by Diane Currie Sam and Jessica Carmona, has been awarded the Adams Prize from the Toronto Fringe!
If you know the Fringe world, you know this matters.
The Adams Prize recognizes outstanding new work—stories with spark, substance, and something to say. It’s designed to support artists who are taking creative risks and pushing conversations forward. In other words, exactly the kind of theatre Olivia O set out to be.
Thank you so much Toronto Fringe - we're excited to work with you and truly excited by what this recognition makes possible.
The Adams Prize signals that Olivia O is resonating. That its message matters. That there is space in Canadian theatre for stories that blend heart, music, and social reflection.
And the timing is important. The intertwined issues of human rights, migration and border policies couldn't be more real, and urgent.
We’re excited to announce that Olivia O will be heading to the Toronto Fringe Festival from June 30–July 12, 2026.
